I especially enjoyed the journaling cards and used several on my cards. See the collage below for a peek at the supplies. The 12 Kits of Occasions: November with Jessica " Christmas 2017"

Welcome to another 12 Kits of Occasions reveal! It is finally feeling a little cooler and more typical weather here and with the passing of Thanksgiving, all the holiday activities are in full swing. So we are helping you get into the Christmas spirit with this month's fabulous kit. Our wonderful hostess is Jessica from The Paper Parade. Jessica's kits usually have some fun little critter images and so I was thrilled to unwrap mine this month. See the photo below to see some of the things included. The complete list can be found on the 12 Kits blog, at the top under Supplies for 2017. Jessica included lots of sweet images and the coolest selection of papers. Love all those plaids! And there is still so many I didn't get to use. Can't wait to see what my fellow members have created. I bet you do too so click HERE to connect to the 12 Kits blog.

Please excuse the slightly off colors today. My computer was just updated with new software and the photo editing section was a bit of a challenge!

These sweet little angels are a favorite of mine. And the 'peace' banner seems to be made for them to hold over the charming little village below. I used a Mama Elephant confetti die to cut some sparkly gold stars.

I added an embossed plaid background to make these cozy images and sentiment even more "warm and fuzzy".

There have been quite a few yeti sets done lately. These are from Mama Elephant. I decided to use both of the ones Jessica sent--one for the front and one for the inside.

And here is the inside!

Below I added a sentiment from WPlus9.

Little mouse isn't following all the warnings about eating raw dough!

I thought these adorable little bears should be decorating a tree out in the glittery snow!

Hope you are enjoying Jessica's kit as much as I did. Be sure to visit all the other blogs and hope we give you some inspiration. Have a wonderful weekend!

Hugs,
Sharron

The 12 Kits of Occasions: October with Nancy "Boo To You"

Hi All! Are you ready to celebrate Halloween! We don't have trick or treaters where we live so making cards is my fun way to celebrate. The 12 Kits of Occasions reveal is a day early this month so everyone will have plenty of time for their spooky celebrations. As you will see, we had the most fun filled kit designed by Nancy at Artful Notions. See Lindsey's picture below to get an idea of all the supplies it contained. There was lots I didn't use so I will be able to play another time. Look at all the fun and spooky images and die cuts. And the patterned papers were fabulous. For each of my cards I used the pattern for my inspiration! A big thank you to Nancy for a wonderful month!!

Click HERE to go to the 12 Kits blog where you will find links to all the blogs. A list of all the supplies Nancy sent can be found at the top.

My first card uses this week's sketch at C(ASE) this Sketch. It was a perfect use for the spiders and sentiment Nancy stamped. I cut them with circle dies and used a circle of purple to highlight each one.

Love this sentiment! My hubby suggested it would be great as a card to give someone in person and have someone come up behind them as they read it!

Nancy included three of these fabulous cauldrons and I mixed and matched pieces to create two versions. This first was inspired by a recent card by Michele, I Card Everyone. I thought I would use a sentiment for the inside "How about joining us for some bubbly". The ghosts are from a former Halloween kit.

Another easy design--isn't that paper wonderful! Love the jumbo candy corn die cut!

Hope you enjoy today's hop! And have a wonderful Halloween!

The 12 Kits of Occasions: September with Marybeth "Hello Fall"

It's that wonderful time of the month! Today is the last day of September and it's time for another 12 Kits of Occasions revel. Our sweet and very talented hostess this month is Marybeth from Marybeth's Time for Paper. Since I love fall, Marybeth's kit is a really special way to help celebrate. Her supplies capture the great colors so well. And there are amazing stamps and dies that go so well with the fabulous patterned papers! See the photo below to get a peek at some of the supplies.

Weather here is getting cooler and the trees are beginning to change. I can't imagine living where there aren''t four seasons!

Hope you enjoy the blogs this month and are able to enjoy the beauties of the season! Click HERE to go to the 12 Kits blog. A list of Marybeth's supplies can be found at the top, under Supplies for 2017.

I recently purchased several of PTI's Mix & Mat die sets and used them on several of my cards.

This design uses some partial die cutting with a PTI die and embossing with some woodgrain.

This sentiment was a tag included in the kit. A wonderful and easy way to create this card!

For this last card I added a cluster of leaves from a MFT's set for the puppy to jump in! I happened to have the die that Marybeth used for the white panel so I cut another out of the orange. The tree panel was also in the kit so I wanted to have the card open to show the tree and sentiment.

INSIDE OF CARD

Wasn't Marybeth's kit awesome! I particularly loved the fantastic sentiments! I even have another card partially done plus more goodies. Being in this group is always such a treat!!

Enjoy the hop! And thanks for letting us share,

Sharron

The 12 Kits of Occasions: August with Lisa "Teacher's Pet"

Well, summer is coming to a close and this month our 12 Kits of Occasions is focusing on school. Lisa from My Paper Tales is our super talented hostess. She always make such lovely cards and we all looked forward to receiving her special kit. I knew I was going to love it the minute I opened it! See Lindsey's collage below to see the fabulous mix of supplies. There were such wonderful papers and awesome diecuts. My favorite were all the sweet Purple Onion images and the first thing I did was color them! I've been using colored pencils more and they worked great for these cute little critters. I had also just received a PTI order with several Mix and Mat dies so I had fun playing with those also.

Lisa invited a guest designer so be sure to Judy Marino's blog to see her wonderful creations. Click HERE to go to the 12 Kits blog where you will find a link to Judy's blog as well as links to all the 12 Kits members blogs. A supply list is available by going to the Monthly Kit Supplies 2017 located at the top.

Hope you enjoy all the creations!!

I added a piece of black cardstock to help highlight the sweet bunny and that adorable school bus.

Aren't the school buses fun! And I'm in love with this cute owl. I have a few Purple Onion stamps but can see there are several more I plan to order.

I think this is my favorite bunny! Anything with books is always an attraction for me. I also found a PTI sentiment that I will use for the inside, "Having you as a friend is like curling up with a good book".

Message for the inside "for lending a hand".

This is the sweetest little mouse! I debated about sentiments but finally decided on this "Wish Big" from a PTI set.

Lisa also included two die cut Lawn Fawn Milk Cartons. I used a couple of the included images and a piece of twine that was also in our kits.

Hope you enjoy the hop and find some inspiration along the way. Thanks for visiting and thanks so very much to Lisa for a fabulous kit!

It's always wonderful to be able to share,
Sharron

Time Out Challenge #88: Inspired by Words

My first ever Time Out challenge is inspired by Roald Dahl's children's novel "Twits"

"If you have good thoughts they will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely."

I thought of this sweet image by Sassy Cheryl and the sentiment she used for a title. It is a quote from Marilyn Monroe. Love this adorable little girl! I used a combination of Copics and Prismacolor pens to color her and then added a few hearts cut from metallic paper with a Mama Elephant die. The border was cut from WPlus9's Sunshine Layers Dies. My sentiment is computer generated.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I can't believe I have posted three times in the past few days!!

The 12 Kits of Occasion: July with Kim "Christmas in July"

The 12 Kits of Occasions theme this month is Christmas! What a wonderful relief from our high temps to play with some cold weather goodies! Our hostess this month is our very talented and sweet Kim from Cupcakes, Card and Kim. She sent a fun mixture of holiday stamps, great die cuts and lots of pretty papers. Lindsey does these great collages for us each month so below you can see some of the supplies in Kim's kit.

I really loved the kit, Kim, and now I'm inspired to use my leftovers and get out more Christmas themed supplies to start on this year's cards. Thanks so much for the inspiration and encouragement!!

I cut out some of the images from one of the papers that illustrate some of the hectic events of the season to use with the kitty and fun sentiment from Avery Elle.

I always love Pure Innocence images and this little girl is enjoying winter!

All these fabulous pre-stamped images and die cuts made this card easy peasy.

I think I overdid the color on my dark brown pup!

Time to send you on your way! There is always lots to see plus we are happy to have a special guest designer. Just click HERE to go to the 12 Kits blog where you will find links to all the different blogs. You can also find Kim's supply list at the top.

Thanks so much for joining us this month. Hope you find some inspiration!

CAS-ology: Balloon

Big celebration over at CAS-ology celebrating their 5-year anniversary!

Yay, I'm actually posting!! Our twin granddaughters are also celebrating. They turn 14 today! I just got my very first Waffle Flower order in the mail and these new stamps worked perfectly for their cards. Inspiration from a couple of crafty friends inspired me to try this wonderful company! A harlequin stencil and vellum balloons finished things off.

Stamps: Fruity Thank You (Waffle Flower), Birthday Wish (Verve)
Stencil: TCW Mini Harlequin
Balloon Dies: My Favorite Things

A very happy birthday to the girls and wishing CAS-ology many more years of crafty inspiration!

Hope all of you have a wonderful weekend,

Sharron

The 12 Kits of Occasions: June with Michele "It's a Guy Thing"

Another wonderful month with the 12 Kits of Occasions! This month our very talented hostess is Michele, I Card for Everyone. She sent us a marvelous kit with papers and images suited perfectly for more masculine designs. I think we all struggle with cards that need to be more tailored, without flowers and sparkles, but still clever and creative. I especially loved the cute gull set from My Favorite Things. I even saved a couple of the gulls for leftover cards after i see what everyone else made! Thanks Michele for a truly awesome kit!

Links to all the other blogs can be found on the 12 Kits blog HERE. We once again have a guest designer, Bobby from Bits and Pieces Designs. Welcome, Bobby! There is always so much to see so you will want to be on your way.

WONDERFUL COLLAGE BY LINDSEY

Love this cute little rabbit by Lil' Inker! Sorry his shiny silver frames don't show up! I added a wooden star that was on my desk, a leftover from an earlier kit by Jeanne Jachna.

My 'rock' is actually one of the clouds from the kit. After coloring it with some grays and brown, I decided a couple of pieces of grass were in order.

The "Hip, Hip, Hooray", embossed in white,  is from a sentiment set from WPlus9.

The dragonflies are colored using three shades of gray Copics and two coats of Clear Wink of Stella. Michele included so many fantastic papers that show off the images!

Thanks so much for letting us share,
Enjoy the hop,

Sharron
