12 Kits of Holidays: March

Hi all! It's time for another 12 Kits holiday reveal and appropriately this month the theme is Spring and Easter!! Our very sweet and super talented hostess was Tracey, In My Creation Opinion, and she sent us such an awesome kit. There were the most wonderful papers, die cuts, ribbons and embellishments all in bright spring colors!! Thank you so much, Tracey--I loved your kit!

I didn't get as many cards done as I had intended so I still have lots of supplies. As everyone in the group knows, that's a good thing. There are always many tempting things to CASE after seeing what everyone else has created!!

I think this first card is my favorite because I am especially partial to this paper with the butterflies and clouds. Luckily I still have the other half!

And this one has one of my favorite sentiments!

And lastly, who couldn't adore this sweet bunny!!!

This is just a small sample of all the fabulous springtime and Easter creations you will find on the blogs below. For those of you who will be celebrating Easter this Sunday, I hope you have a wonderful weekend and are able to spend time with family and friends.

And to everyone, Happy, Happy Spring!
Enjoy,
Sharron

CAS-ual Fridays Challenge #94: Chipboard

Click on banner to link to CAS-ual Fridays Challenge blog and many more samples of what to do with chipboard.
This week's challenge is to use chipboard. As I didn't have any in my stash, I went the cupboard route and cut a section out of an almost empty cereal box! The umbrella is a die from Memory Box and I cut five pieces from the box, followed by two pieces from patterned paper (a textured brown and the matching paper with glittery polka dots). Gluing these together makes a wonderfully sturdy chipboard element. One nice thing about this particular die is that it is scored so you can fold back the sides to make the umbrella more three dimensional. This doesn't work so well with regular weight paper but works great with the heavier chipboard. I glued just the bottom part of the handle and the sides when putting it on the card.

I finally got a chance to play with my new Watercolor Wonder set too! This is going to be a really great set!! And lastly I just needed to find a sentiment and decided on this one from Scattered Showers.

Be sure to visit the CAS-ual Fridays store blog too. They are having peeks of their new release. Today are lots of fun new sentiments--so ah-mazing--you won't want to miss it!!!

Wishing you sunshine,
Sharron

Happy St. Patrick's Day: Waltzingmouse Blog Party-March

THEME: LUCK
Hi All!  HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!!!

Are you celebrating--or at least wearing a bit of green? Today is the 17th so it's time for the monthly WMS Blog Party and what could be better than an 'luck' theme! Claire always puts a wonderful freebie image in her store that we can use if we want. This adorable little vintage girl is there in addition to two other wonderful images. So after you have visited all the other blogs HERE, you can grab an image or create something totally unique and join the party!!

I couldn't pass up this sweet little girl! And the rest of my card was super easy. I cut a panel with a stitched Lil' Inker die, added a doily and layered the image. I masked off a sentiment stamp to get the 'wishing you' and used the Woodenheart Alphabet set to stamp 'LUCK'---so very easy to line up! The tiny shamrocks are from a little PTI set called "Luck of the Irish".

I won't keep you so you can enjoy the rest of the party!!! Have a great day!

Monday Mood Board #5

Monday Mood Challenge: Red, Blue, Cream with a Hint of Green
Time for another dose of inspiration from Dawn at WPlus9! And isn't this photo just crammed full of fabulous colors and patterns! If you haven't participated before, here is the link to Dawn's blog to find out more about her weekly challenges. They are a wonderful place for you to showcase your WPlus9 stamps and supplies!!

I found this greatl paper for the base in the Summer Fresh 6x6 pad from Simple Stories--with the flowers already printed! Great find, don't you think!! The hearts were cut using three sizes from the Clear Cut Heart Stackers. I cut a heart out of the center of the red heart and then inserted the green heart, following with a die cut button on top. The flower on the cream heart is from Mother's Day Bouquet  and the banner is from a cute little set called Banner Love. I finished with the blue bird cut with a Folk Art Florals die. Love those sweet little guys!!

Hope you are having a great weekend and have been able to enjoy some crafty time!

Monday Mood Board #4

Here is my VERY LATE WPlus9 Mood Board card! Last week I had my card done and photographed but I didn't like how the gold embossing looked so I planned to redo it---but unfortunately never got it done! So I wanted to be sure to get this posted!

Mood Board: Red, Yellow and Green
I chose to use the colors and the wonderful sunshiny mood to create my card using Fresh Picked. The berries in that set are fantastic and are so easy to stamp. The die cut jar was embossed using a rick rack die to give a little texture. And the sun and stitched rectangle are dies from Lil' Inker.

We've been buying lots of blueberries as they have been good lately--and reasonably priced. Can't wait until summer so we can have fresh strawberries again! Today it looks like snow!!

Hope you had a wonderful weekend. Thanks so much for stopping by,
Sharron

Stamps: Fresh Picked (WPlus9)
Cardstock: Harvest Gold, SS White (PTI)
Patterned Paper: Garden Variety (Cosmo Cricket)

CAS-ology #34: BUNNY

I have really been struggling with craft project problems lately (won't bore you with details) but I did get this card done for this week's CAS-ology challenge. The cue word is 'bunny' and my favorite bunny stamp is this sweet image from Waltzingmouse! I love to paper piece him so today he is quilted! And the border stamp is from a set I haven't used in ages--Background Basics-Spots and Dots from PTI. It was even on my 'for sale' list so I was happy to find a use for it. Perhaps I'd better hang on to it!

Thanks so much for coming by! Hope to get more done this weekend!!
