Sweet lil' Princess

Sorry I have been MIA pretty much all of the past week. I was back doing a 40-hr+ work week and also trying to get ready for vacation. When I took time out to make a baby card that I need, I realized I don't have a baby set--not even one! I haven't needed many baby cards but how awful to not have anything. Ugh!! I have been going to order Baby Button Bits but sadly haven't done so yet! I tried several different approaches with stamps I have but nothing seemed to work. I hate it when I can't seem to get inspired. Ultimately I went with this patterned paper and my ever faithful Daily Designs set! I wanted something soft and sweet and I think this works pretty well. Success at last.......

Supplies:
Stamps: Daily Designs (PTI)
Cardstock: Stamper's Select (PTI), ? Pink from Stampin' Up
Patterned Paper: Karen Foster Designs
Ink: Cinnamon (Versamark), London Fog (Memento)
Additional: Martha Stewart Border Punch, Circle punches, Ribbon (PTI), Pearls

We'll be busy all this next week but will check in when I can. I had hoped to get something made for the Poppy Seeds Challenge but couldn't find time. My PTI order came today though. I can hardly wait to try out the new stamps and dies next week when we get home.

Happy Stamping,
Sharron

Papertrey Peeps Challenge #3

This Papertrey Peeps Challenge was submitted by Kimberly. She had made a card for her sister's March birthday and decided to challenge us to play along:
"So that is the challenge: a feminine card featuring orange zest.  Bonus points if you work in Spring Rain, her second favorite color or a tea theme, since tea is one of her favorite things in the world."
I don't have the tea set but always love to use a Pure Innocence image. And what is more perfect for a birthday than a big orange balloon! I paper pieced her dress with Cosmo Cricket patterned paper and colored the image with Copics. For the side trim I used Background Basics: Tin Types and embossed in white. The little clover stamp is from PTI's Luck of the Irish set.

Supplies:
Stamps: Background Basics: Tin Types, Luck of the Irish, Sign Language (sentiment)--all PTI
Main image: Pure Innocence digital
Cardstock: Stamper's Select White, Orange Zest, Spring Rain (PTI)
Patterned Paper: Earth Love (Cosmo Cricket)
Ink: Fresh Snow, Orangerie (PTI); Copics
Additional: Filigree Embossing Powder-White (PTI); Nestabilities

Hope everyone is having a good weekend! I am filling in where I used to work for six days so it will be back to the old grind all next week! I was there on Friday and wow, I had already forgotten how little time I had left after spending all day at the office!! I think retirement is definitely better!

Anyway, don't know how much stamping time I will have for a while. We have a week of vacation following my week of work so I may not be able to check my computer as often! Now I need to get back to finishing the laundry and trying to decide about my PTI order. This month is really tough--way too much great stuff!!

Compose A Card Challenge: Week 6

I just recently received my Papertrey order that included Butterfly Dreams and Turning a New Leaf. Wow, they are awesome--love them! I have been so anxious to give them some ink and decided to try them out on this week's Compose A Card Challenge. I have done every one and they are always so much fun! Here is a link to Becky's blog if you want to play along. I tried to post copies here of the recipe and inspiration photo but kept losing them. Tonight, along with watching the Academy Awards, I plan to spend time to check on what everyone else has done!

Hope you are having a good weekend!

Poppy Seed Challenge #1

Poppy-Seed-1-challange
Oh my, talk about posting late! I so much wanted to do a card for Lisa's new challenge and have spent much of this week working on our local Garden Show! The challenge was to use a flower image, crystals and light yellow. My card is pretty simple but I like it. The flower is from Flower Garden (PTI) and I cut it out of Bitty Dot Basics paper. I didn't have any crystals so used pearls.

Supplies:
Stamps: Flower Garden, Communique Sentiments (PTI)
Cardstock: Lemon Tart, Plum Pudding, Spring Rain White (PTI)
Additional: Patterned paper is the back of some baby paper I had + the Bitty Dots for the flower, pearls, EK Success border punch, Quikutz Embossing Folder, Nesties, Memento Ink

I have some other things to post so hope to be back soon.
Have a good day,
Sharron
