The 12 Kits of Holidays: May

THEME: GET WELL, THANK YOU, THINKING OF YOU
It's the last day of the month and time for another 12 Kits reveal!! Since we are alternating other holidays with Christmas this year, May is a non-Christmas month. The theme is a little different though--not a holiday but a mix of get well, thank you and thinking of you. Our fabulous hostess is Marybeth, Marybeth's Time For Paper.  She does the most beautiful work--I can't wait to see what she made with her own kit. This kit was SO amazing! I have tons left over and still have lots of ideas of what I would like to make. Plus I will see even more inspiration as I visit everyone's blog. Kara took this great picture! It gives you some idea of all the goodies we had to play with.

I love to color and was super excited when I saw the flowers she included. Luckily I didn't use them all so I will be making some more soon!

Isn't this little guy sweet! Yellow umbrellas make me smile!! BTW, the raindrops are a Memory Box die called A Little Rain

This is my Split Pea Soup card! A dear friend of mine is currently undergoing chemo treatments and so finding food that agrees with her body is a challenge. Her nutritionist suggested a recipe that looks like split pea soup. It has the peas plus lots of other healthy stuff but when she told me about it my instant response was "yuck"! I don't like split pea soup and neither does she! But as her taste buds aren't working and the consistency is good, she has learned to enjoy it. So Marybeth's cute Comfort Food images work great for a card for her. And I found the red heart button in my stash--thought it would be perfect!

Lastly, I absolutely LOVE this little owl! Marybeth used him recently on a card for Joyce and I was so glad to see him included in our kits. Since he has on his party hat, I thought he would be a great birthday card. My sentiment is from a Verve set called Big Wish.

I'm sure you are as anxious as I am to see what everyone else has made, so all the links are below. A list of supplies is available on Marybeth's blog. I did use a few additional items of my own and if you have questions about anything, just let me know.

Enjoy the hop and thanks for coming by!
Have a great day,
Sharron

Oh Happy Day!!!

There's a fabulous event over on the Lil' Inker blog. They are having a first ever challenge hop called the Sunny Days Challenge Hop! And see this inspiration photo below. Doesn't it just make you think of summer--sunshiny bright and happy--with time to relax! Lil' Inker has the most amazing dies and stamps. Many are perfect for this wonderful challenge. Hop on over to see all the inspiration from Laura and the design team!

You have through June 2 to enter so there's lots of time. Oh, and there are awesome prizes! So don't miss the chance to win some Lil' Inker goodies!!

For my card I started with my very loved and most used dies, LID Stitched Rectangles. This is a must have set of dies. I don't have the squares yet but they are very high on my wish list! The focal point is using the LID Mini Pinwheel--so easy and fun--and perfect for double-sided patterned paper. I used papers from a 6x6 pad called Paradise Beach. So great for summer, don't you think! The sentiment is from LID Sun Sentiments.

This card was so easy and fun to make. Hope it makes you smile!

Thanks so much for letting me share,
Sharron

CAS-ology #44: BLOOM

Wow, almost didn't get this done in time! Thankfully being home this weekend has given me some crafty time! I decided on the sentiment first and then looked through sets for flowers. Amazingly I found I don't have many floral sets. This one is a PTI anniversary set called Botanical Silhouettes. For the frame I once again used one of my Lil' Inkers Stitched Rectangles--love those! This time I embossed it.

Hope you're having a wonderful weekend! There is a lot of floral inspiration over at the CAS-ology blog so take a few minutes to add some spring bouquets to your day!

Happy Birthday, Joyce!!!

Today is a special day! It's the birthday of a very special lady and dear stamping friend, Joyce (Cards-by-the-Sea)! YAY Joyce, hope your day is FANTABULOUS!!!

Here is the card I made her. I do have to confess that I "borrowed" my design from a card that I fell in love with by Christina, Sea Glass Sentiments. I got my stamps and die at the time of their release and played with them a bit but never actually made a card until now.

Kim at Cupcakes, Cards and Kim was so sweet to organize this little blog party for Joyce. Below is a list of all the guests. If you are following the schedule below this will be your last stop. Kim has included Joyce's blog next so you could drop by there and leave her a little birthday love after seeing what everyone has made! And if you've never visited Joyce's blog, you will be amazed at all the gorgeous work she does. She is such a sweetie, always so thoughtful and ready to give encouragement to everyone. Joyce, I hope your day is as marvelous as you are!!!

Hugs to you,
Sharron
