Compose A Card Challenge: Week 9
Didn't want to miss any of Becky's Compose A Card Challenges and had decided to use this stamp set but wasn't sure about a design. This all came together last night. It's a birthday card so I tried to select images that would represent different times of the year. I thought these sentiments from a set by Technique Tuesday would work perfectly. All other supplies are from Papertrey Ink. By the way, the silk ribbon is so great for stamping with a sentiment!
Supplies:
Stamps: Sign Language (PTI), Small Talk (Technique Tuesday), Everyday Classics (PTI)
Cardstock: Vintage Cream, Dark Chocolate, Pure Poppy (All PTI)
Patterned Paper: Bitty Box Basics, Chocolate Remix (PTI)
Ink: Pure Poppy, Orangerie, New Leaf, Enchanted Evening (PTI), Rich Cocoa (Memento)
Additional: Silk Ribbon (PTI), Copics, Dew Drops
Smiles,

2 Sketches 4 You Challenge
I wanted to try a ruffled ribbon so this sketch offered the perfect opportunity! I may have overdone it when gathering the ribbon but it is my first attempt, LOL! I made it for a shower that was yesterday and since I don't have a baby set, I once again turned to Daily Designs. The gift was a little outfit in pink with brown polka dots and a blanket and teddy that were brown with white polka dots. I should have taken a picture before wrapping!! I even added some stamped teddy images on the top of the tissue paper.
Supplies:
Stamps: Daily Designs (PTI), Very Vintage Labels 1, Off Beat Backgrounds (Waltzingmouse)
Cardstock: Stamper's Select White (PTI)
Patterned Paper: Karen Foster Designs, Bitty Dots Basics (PTI)
Ink: Rich Cocoa (Memento), Old Rose (Versamark)
Additional: Button (PTI), Ribbon (PTI), EK Success Punch, Copics
Did anyone else stay up last night to do their PTI order? Problems with putting items in my cart ended up with my order being much less. I need to cut back anyway when I can so maybe a good thing! I found a couple of cool storage units at Michael's at 50% off so I spent all evening putting them together. Trying to tidy my stamping nook since it is part of our bedroom.
Next on the agenda is some housecleaning and dog baths!!
Have a good day!

Compose A Card Challenge: Week 8
I wanted a card for Earth Day for a friend so I combined this with this week's Compose A Card Challenge. The inspiration was taken from Becky's daughters Easter dresses. I wanted to use this
Pure Innocence image and just got it yesterday. It is a digital done by Heather Ellis. For her dress I stamped circles using one of the single stamps in Polka Dots Basics and colored around them with a Copic marker (Dark Brown). I added some brown dots on some and colored a few green (New Leaf).
I punched out the small white dots and colored a small dot in each. The sentiment is from Wonderfully Whimsical. The button is one of PTI's Vintage Buttons-Ripe Avocado. I thought it was fun that there
was a heart to match the pocket on the dress. I cut an image with my new PTI dies for a backing.
Supplies:
Stamps: Pure Innocent Digital (Heather Ellis), Wonderfully Whimsical (PTI)
Cardstock: Dark Chocolate, Stamper's Select White (PTI)
Patterned Paper: Bitty Dots-Ripe Avocado (PTI)
Additional: Ribbon (LSS), Button (PTI), PTI Beautiful Blooms Die, Copics
Have a great week and don't forget Earth Day is April 22nd. This year is the 40th anniversary! Think of what things you can do to help protect our precious planet.

Hi everyone, such a gorgeous sunny but not too warm day here! Today's card is one I made for one of the doctors where I used to work. I always did cards for their birthdays when I was there. The little plane is from Tiny Treats and the sentiments are from Bird Watching and Around and About Sentiments. Hey Peeps, remember how Aimes recently used a sentiment from this set for her 'flutterby' trail. Thanks Aimes!!

I'm Home!
Hi everyone! We're finally home from vacation. It is so wonderful to be back in our own home even though we had a wonderful trip. We had time to visit family and an old friend plus see lots of birds. I actually got 24 new life birds. For those non-birders, a life bird is one you count the very first time you see it. The weather was perfect in southern Texas but just a little too early for many of the birds to migrate through. It is always so hard to judge when the best time will be.
I will be working tomorrow but will have time on Saturday to do some stamping. My last PTI order is still waiting in the box it was shipped in because we left right after it came! Just wanted to say 'hi'! I hope to have some time to check blogs in the next day or so.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend and Easter......
