The 12 Kits of Holidays: May

THEME: GET WELL, THANK YOU, THINKING OF YOU
It's the last day of the month and time for another 12 Kits reveal!! Since we are alternating other holidays with Christmas this year, May is a non-Christmas month. The theme is a little different though--not a holiday but a mix of get well, thank you and thinking of you. Our fabulous hostess is Marybeth, Marybeth's Time For Paper.  She does the most beautiful work--I can't wait to see what she made with her own kit. This kit was SO amazing! I have tons left over and still have lots of ideas of what I would like to make. Plus I will see even more inspiration as I visit everyone's blog. Kara took this great picture! It gives you some idea of all the goodies we had to play with.

I love to color and was super excited when I saw the flowers she included. Luckily I didn't use them all so I will be making some more soon!

Isn't this little guy sweet! Yellow umbrellas make me smile!! BTW, the raindrops are a Memory Box die called A Little Rain

This is my Split Pea Soup card! A dear friend of mine is currently undergoing chemo treatments and so finding food that agrees with her body is a challenge. Her nutritionist suggested a recipe that looks like split pea soup. It has the peas plus lots of other healthy stuff but when she told me about it my instant response was "yuck"! I don't like split pea soup and neither does she! But as her taste buds aren't working and the consistency is good, she has learned to enjoy it. So Marybeth's cute Comfort Food images work great for a card for her. And I found the red heart button in my stash--thought it would be perfect!

Lastly, I absolutely LOVE this little owl! Marybeth used him recently on a card for Joyce and I was so glad to see him included in our kits. Since he has on his party hat, I thought he would be a great birthday card. My sentiment is from a Verve set called Big Wish.

I'm sure you are as anxious as I am to see what everyone else has made, so all the links are below. A list of supplies is available on Marybeth's blog. I did use a few additional items of my own and if you have questions about anything, just let me know.

Enjoy the hop and thanks for coming by!
Have a great day,
Sharron

Beautifully colored flowers on the first card . I know the owl didn't go with kit but sent him anyway, glad you liked him. . Love everything ! You will not believe this , but I stopped my comment and went and made a crockpot full of split pea soup ! :)

Sharon, your cards are just amazing. I love all the little details you added, like the raindrops, and your coloring, too. I have a super easy recipe for split pea soup that even a split pea soup hater would love. Really, Jacques Pepin! I hope your card cheers your friend up.

Sharron, you rocked this kit! From your orange and yellow posies with the fabby sequins to the your adorable split pea soup card, just amazing! I love the sweet drops of rain over your little Morton Salt guy, so sweet with that stunning yellow umbrella, wow, you got your kit and just too off running with it. But your sweet little owl card is my favorite, he looks so fun and festive with that party hat and sequins, just too cute!

Sharron! What awesome cards this month! I love the embossing behind the soup card, it makes it feel so warm, just what you'd want when you're sick. The raindrop die behind the sweet boy with the umbrella was the perfect idea! And then I just love how you added the button center to the flower card :)

Woweee! Love the coloring and the scheme of yellow colors!!! The one button for a flower center is perfect. The cutest touch was the raindrops on the second car!

Sharron, your colors on the flower card are fantastic--so bright and summery! Love the sprinkling of sequins and the button flower center. The soup can and bowl look like they were made for the Polaroid frame, and the heart button is the perfect addition. Awesome cards this month!

Your coloring is seriously out of this world, Sharron! I just LOVE the little garden scene with all of the yellow accents and that sentiment! It's been so much fun to see everyone's interpretation of that image. Your little boy blue with his yellow umbrella is adorable, loving those mini raindrops. We thought alike using that plaid background! And how sweet is that partying owl with his bold striped background?! You nailed every card with this month's kit, Sharron!
