Well, we have finally arrived at the last day of August! I know Summer isn't officially over but it always seems like it when September arrives. And tonight the Red August moon will also be Blue! If you don't know where the phrase "once in a blue moon" came from, it is from the rare occurrence of two moons in the same month. The second one is the 'blue' moon!
But today is also important because it is time for another 12 Kits of Christmas reveal. For any visitors who haven't visited before, HERE is an explanation about how we got started. Our wonderful hostess this month is Kim (Cupcakes, Cards and Kim)! She chose the prettiest non-traditional colors and included these great digital designs in CAS styles. Below is the photo of supplies that Kara, our trusty photographer, took. Just look at all the goodies! Aren't the colors gorgeous!

I just knew the first thing I would use were those cool word cut-outs but you know, I didn't---yet! I'm saving them for a later CASE!!! And I can't wait to see how other people used them! All my cards turned out to be very CAS and I loved making them. Thanks Kim for a truly fabulous kit--I loved it!
I adored the stripes and used the girly shoe image for a simple feminine card. The only things I colored were the holly leaves and berries. I added some Glossy Accents to the berries and used a Sizzix embossing border on the Autumn Rose center strip.
I absolutely loved the pleated ribbon Kim included. So my next card is a combination of patterned papers and that gorgeous ribbon! The little tag is made from some included patterned paper and glued to a piece of Ocean Tides cardstock. It can be taken out so a signature or even a small photo could be added.
To me, there always seems to be something special about white on white or in this case, cream on cream. Kim included the already embossed snowflake panel and I decided one of the little trees would work great for a focal point. It was so quick to use the broad tip of a Copic to color the tree. Talk about easy! I love using tags on cards so I cut out two PTI tags and cut an opening in the Scarlet Jewel one. I was going to use some ribbon but remembered how wonderful the Lil' Inker bows look on tags. So I got out one that Renee had sent me! I thought the black and white polka dots looked great with the mod little tree!
This final card is my CASE of this card from Christina's April post:
I really tried not to COPY it but didn't end up with many changes. Love her card so much so kept with her design! Hope that is okay, Christina!
One of the best things about being in this group (and gosh, there are many!) is seeing what everyone else makes with the same supplies. I try to stay awake on release night so I can at least peek! So below is the list of participants. Be sure to visit all the blogs for lots more holiday/winter inspiration!

You did such a great job. I can't even say which card I liked best, so I won't. I love the CAS feel of the first card. You really highlighted that elegant shoe so perfectly, your second card is such a fun way to really highlight the paper and that gorgeous ribbon, and I just love how you colored the tree in your third card. So artsy. You picked a wonderful card to CASE and did a great job with it.
Sharron, the second one is my favorite! I love all the bright colors that pop, and that "I love winter is adorable" :) That shoe is too cute on the first and that slight embossing is the perfect touch. The bow on the 3rd steals the show! And you picked such a beautiful card to case :) Christina will be honored!
Great cards! Love the shoe and the placement of the sentiment on the second card!super CASE!!
Sharron they're fabulous!!
LOVE the first one...
and that embossed strip...

And that bow is perfect for that adorable tree...
love the way you colored it! :)
And what a perfect CASE!
They're all so fabulous!! :)
Sharron , WOW! You do such a fabulous job, with the kits! I love the embossing you did on the first card with the pretty shoe. The card with the polka dot bow is gorgeous with the tree image. Love them all! Bet your glad your done with your news letter. Great job on the CASE card too!
Hi Sharron! Love the cards you made - the shoe wit the embossed background looks so elegant! Your winter wishes with the verticle stripes - is awesome - love the pleated ribbon and the little message poking out.. and last... my favorite! Love everything about this last one.. The embossed paper, how you colored the tree (the green just pops!) and that perfect polkadot bow! Gorgeous!
I love what you have done Sharron...not surprised at all, but you really knocked it out of the park this month. I love that touch of embossing folder on the first card with the pinked edges to the shoe image. I also really, really, really loved your card with the bow. I have got to get that die! You made a great CASE of Christinas card...very pretty and I am so glad I have those jingle bells left over.
Fun kit. Love the colors. All of your cards are great. I especially like the first one with the shoe!
Sharron, I love all of your cards...but I have to say your first one is my favorite. When I saw the shoes and hand bags images I knew this was what I wanted to do for my month. Your shoe is so stunning and I love that you just colored the holly berries and baked it up with that striped paper, I just fell in love with that. I saved several pieces of that for CAS'ing. Your CASE card is beautiful too, those jingle bells with the music paper and red ribbon, just fabulous.
How sweet! I cannot pick a favorite although I had to admit I smiled at the shoe card remembering how my oldest daughter collected shoes when she was younger. Have fun with your kit club!
Really cute cards! Love the one with the string of bells.
I am LOVING the embossed panel to your first card. That one detail is perfect! I think I'm going to have to break down and buy some of that pleated ribbon....I love it vertically on your card. I think your CASE of Christina is gorgeous! I'm sure she's proud! :)
Wheee! What a GORGEOUS line up of cards all in one post! I love them all, and the range - from elegant to playful! The second card has the most amazing layout and it totally works - I love the little ruffle of ribbon!
Oh my goodness! Such wonderful cards! Love the shoe card - it just made me smile! But they are all special! What a fun kit to play with!
