Two wonderful friends, Joyce (Card by the Sea) and Cathy (Empty Nest Crafter), were so sweet to plan this blog hop to celebrate Marybeth's (Marybeth's Time for Paper) birthday. Well, it's really a belated birthday party since her birthday was earlier this month but who wouldn't want two parties! So Marybeth, we hope you have a wonderful repeat celebration! For my card I used my new PTI 'birthday' die that I have wanted for ages and it just came in the mail and a Mama Elephant set that is one of my favorites. I couldn't decide on colors so went to Nichole Heady's blog where she has posted color combos for the upcoming Blog Hop. Her inspiration photo is a layered cake and while the above picture is different, it looked like something you might enjoy for your celebration.

Sharron! WOW!!! Love the die cut circle and "birthday - makes this so interesting to look at. The colorful "birthday" is a delight - I had to look twice to figure out how you did that, and gosh, that silhouette image is so fun and happy! What a beautiful card. I can see all the love showing here!

It is a toss-up which is yummier, Sharron, your card or that cake! What an amazing job you did using that sensational cake for your card inspiration! I love it and I'm pinning it! I love the border detail and how the image is amazing inset inside the stitched circle, that cool butterfly, and then the colorful inlaid "birthday." No question that you rocked this hop for Marybeth!!
