Summer seems to be winding down! I'm really not a hot weather person (actually it's the humidity!) and I'm always happy to have the temperatures come down! So I enjoyed playing with this very easy end of summer kit. See all the wonderful supplies in Lindsey's photo below. There is also a list printed on the 12 Kits blog. Our talented hostess this month is Michelle from Pretty Periwinkles. She does such wonderful cards with clean designs and beautiful use of colors.

As I said, this kit was especially easy to work with--the cards almost made themselves! It's always fun to just lay all the supplies out and mix and match then see designs magically come together. For my first card I used the pretty blue patterned paper for a sky and arranged some images.
This next design is a combo of gorgeous patterned papers that Michelle sent. I did die cut some embossed paper with a new die from The Greetery. I couldn't resist ordering it as I knew I would love it--and I do!
This background paper was die cut so I had a scalloped edge. Then it was quick to arrange the blooms and leaves that were already colored and die cut. The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamps.
This was fun! Michelle wrapped our supplies in some patterned paper which I cut for this card. Polka dots are always a favorite! The large sentiment was another must-use! I fussy cut the bear and heart-shaped balloon and used some twine Michelle had tied around some tags.
This gorgeous die cut was glued to one of the pretty papers and then I just placed one of the sentiments on top.
This is such beautiful paper! I wish all the gold would show up better in a photo. I used a medallion from the kit and some of the flowers. The sentiment is from The Greetery. I have been sending cards every week to a friend who is extremely ill so this one will be for her.
A big thank you to Michelle for an awesome kit! And thanks to you for taking time to come by for a visit. We'll see you again in September--the last day of the month!
Hugs,
Sharron

Wow Sharron, you went right to town with Michelle's kit. Each card is fabulous! Don't you love it when it seems like the cards just make themselves? I love the layers and that wonderful die cut coaster from The Greetery on your cake card. So pretty! I cut the paper that was wrapped around the kit too, for future cards. It looks perfect with the bear and that large die cut sentiment. How clever that you used the medallion on the last card. Everything fits perfectly into that center circle. Lovely cards all around my friend. Enjoy the cooler weather.
Each card is wonderful, Sharron! Your new die from The Greetery fits perfectly into the mix and follows the feel of this kit. The bear and his balloon on the patterned paper is a wonderful combination, especially paired with the large sentiment! I love your last card and how you filled the center. I'm sure it will bring joy to your ailing friend.
WOW...every card is FABULOUS Sharron!! They are all beautiful but your last two are my favorites!! I just love how you paired the floral frame over that floral DSP...STUNNING!! And your last card is a work of art Sharron...just loving the layout, the colors and touches of gold! I loved how easy the cards came together in this kit too...makes it so much fun to create with and you definitely outdid yourself! Hugs. :0)
I don't like humidity either Sharron. While I don't want summer to end, September is a favorite of mine with the cooler temps and pretty blue skies! Wonderful cards today. Your first one is just darling and I like the layers on the cake card. Have a wonderful holiday weekend!
wow...just love all your sweet and wonderful cards! Love your sweet party bear and your beautiful birthday cake. Your birthday boy card is adorable. Your final card is my favorite, just love the sweet wreath of flowers!
Hi Sharron! I just loved each and every card, but especially the sweet card going to your friend. She'll love it and you for thinking of her! I also got the die from the Greetery and can't wait to use it. It's really a stand out against those pretty bright papers.
Such a gorgeous collection, Sharron ... wonderful florals, cute aeroplane scene, delicious cake (that Greetery die is brilliant!) and an adorable balloon toting little bear ... such fun! Hugs, Anita :)
Sharron all of your cards are so much fun. You always mix the stamps and papers so beautifully, like they were meant to be together. I love them all and you have a sweet stash of cards to tuck away now.
Sorry to be so late in visiting, Sharron. I was out of the country for two weeks. No, I wasn't. What a liar I am! I was right here being a bad bloggie friend and letting my commenting take a back seat. But I know you'll forgive me and I'm glad I came by because you really rocked the kit! I can see what you mean about the cards nearly making themselves with all the goodies Michelle sent! I can see they were a treat to work with and I love every.single.one. of your beautiful designs! What a great boost to your stash! I especially love the one for your ill friend. I'm sure you bring her a lot of comfort. Hugs, Darnell
