The 12 Kits of Occasions: March with Jessica "Many Thanks"

Another month and another chance to share our 12 Kits creations! This month our wonderful hostess is Jessica from The Paper Parade. I loved the great kit she sent to each of us (see the photo below). It contained so many things that I particularly enjoy--lots of adorable images ready to color if you wanted and I always can't wait to do, wonderful sentiments and the coolest paper! When you look at my cards you will see that I often let the papers take center stage! I would look at each one and then see how one of the images would fit perfectly. Thank you, Jessica, for a truly amazing kit and fun month!!

There were several of these adorable bears and I only used two so I am looking forward to using #3. The sentiment is from PTI.

LOVE this image! Makes me think of when grandchildren are leaving and you know you'll miss them before they have even left. Sentiment from SSS and a piece of another sentiment from Mama Elephant.

Couldn't not color the mane and tail on this sweet unicorn! Another sheet of that awesome paper works perfectly.

This little cutie was the first image I colored. The die cut is from a Studio Katia die

The branch is from a Memory Box die and the the little stump is from a Studio Katia set of foxes.

March PTI Blog Hop

It's been ages since I entered PTI's blog hop so I was so happy to remember some wonderful stamps that would work great for this month's hop. It's still cold here but we have lots of green emerging and our daffodils are up and blooming. I love SPRING!! And I loved getting some of my old (and still favorite) stamps out to play today!

The 12 Kits of Occasions: February with Lindsey

Welcome to another 12 Kits of Occasions reveal! Our wonderful hostess this month is Lindsey, who also does our collages and photos for each month. This month she sent us a fabulous kit full of pretty papers, great stamped and die cut sentiments and lots of fantastic images. I loved all the florals and succulents! See the photo below for an idea of all we received. Thanks so much, Lindsey, for an amazing kit. And I still have lots of leftovers!!

I love this Concord and 9th woodgrain panel. I thought it would work great for a bench for a bunch of succulents which came from a darling Clearly Besotted set.

This might be my favorite! Aren't the colors wonderful and I adore those blooms. Lindsey sent them already stamped and die cut.

I try to just use things from the kits. But I am so addicted to these PTI Bitty Big Collection papers. I just had to use them on several cards.

The sentiment and the tree ring just seemed made for each other. Hope you like my mod design!

Lots of gorgeous patterned papers were included!

Another PTI paper seemed to work great with the flowers that I watercolored using Lindsey's colors.

The 12 Days of Occasions: January with Jeanne "Snow Day"

It's the last day of January and here in Kansas we have had only a small amount of snow. So luckily I have had this month's kit to get my snow fix! The theme is "Snow Day" and our hostess, Jeanne of A Kept Life provided us with a ton of amazing supplies. She always does awesome kits and this one is no exception. I hardly made a dent in the supplies. There were many wonderful papers (Jeanne's specialty) and fabulous die cuts, stamped images and embellishments. See the photo below for a peek at what we received at the beginning of the month.

Jeanne also has a couple of guest designers. Cathy Weber who is a retired member of the 12 Kits is making an appearance. And Richard Breaks is with us again. I love to have little critters and images that I can color so I especially enjoyed these adorable Pretty Pink Posh images. They are super easy to color too!

Look at all the wonderful snow elements! Jeanne also included some snowflake charms. I used one to tie on with this snowman scene.

The sentiment is BRRRR---perfect with the ice fishing bear!

This was my goof-up card! First I didn't get the shading for the snow the way I wanted. The die cut image was a bear on a sled (one piece). Unfortunately I tried to color the sled red and it bled all over the place. If you have ever tried to clean up Copic reds you know what a mess that can be. I didn't want to give up the cute bear so I cut him out and created my own sled out of red cardstock! I asked hubby if he liked him with or without the sunglasses and he voted for the glasses!!

New Twofer Challenge!

If anyone hasn't heard, Darnell has started her very first challenge! Although I've been very lax about entering challenges, I knew I had to do this one. She has this wonderful idea about getting more use out of our stamps and dies by doing more designs with the same supplies. This first theme is FEATHERS and everyone is to create cards for two different occasions using the same stamps and/or dies. For all the rules and a more complete explanation, please go HERE. There is wonderful inspiration from Darnell and the design team.

I have two feather sets and I decided to use the one from WPlus9, Fanciful Feathers. I was playing around with options when Therese, Lost in Paper, posted this amazing card. Isn't her design wonderful! And I fell in love with the blue!

Thanks, Therese, for the great inspiration. And also your hubby for giving you that wonderful book. 

The blue I chose was Bo Peep from WPlus9. It is such a lovely soft color. I also used a WPlus9 heart die. The sentiment (Chickadees) and owl (Framed Owl) are both from Technique Tuesday.

This could be used as a sympathy or encouragement card, for a man or anyone. The cardstock is SoftStone by PTI and the patterned paper is Black and White Basics, an older pad by them also. The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamps, Handwritten Floral Greetings. I also used PTI's Mix and Mat Pinked Edge dies.

Well, here we are--it's not just the last day of the month but also the last day of the year! Wishing you all a very happy 2018!! I'm so glad to have you visit as we have an extra fun kit this month, put together by our very talented hostess, Tracey from In My Creative Opinion. It contained wonderful papers and lots of whimsical images. The colors are great and Tracey included a huge selection of sentiments plus several journaling cards. The 12 Kits of Occasions: November with Jessica " Christmas 2017"

Welcome to another 12 Kits of Occasions reveal! It is finally feeling a little cooler and more typical weather here and with the passing of Thanksgiving, all the holiday activities are in full swing. So we are helping you get into the Christmas spirit with this month's fabulous kit. Our wonderful hostess is Jessica from The Paper Parade. Jessica's kits usually have some fun little critter images and so I was thrilled to unwrap mine this month. See the photo below to see some of the things included. These sweet little angels are a favorite of mine. And the 'peace' banner seems to be made for them to hold over the charming little village below. I used a Mama Elephant confetti die to cut some sparkly gold stars.

I added an embossed plaid background to make these cozy images and sentiment even more "warm and fuzzy".

There have been quite a few yeti sets done lately. These are from Mama Elephant. I decided to use both of the ones Jessica sent--one for the front and one for the inside.

I thought these adorable little bears should be decorating a tree out in the glittery snow!
